Coconut testa is the brown outer layer of a coconut kernel that is removed during the processing of coconuts to make products like desiccated coconut, coconut milk, and virgin coconut oil. The process of removing the testa is called paring or peeling.
Testa can be dried and used to extract industrial oil production.
